The Mastering Menopause programme includes:

 

  • A fully comprehensive guide to the menopause, explaining the changes in your hormones and how this affects the body.

 

  • Goal setting and lifestyle assessment, where I will get a better insight into your WHY? The reason why you are wanting to make changes to improve your health and manage your menopause symptoms more affectively. Here we will look at any barriers to you achieving your goal and any medical issues that we need to take into consideration. I will also ask you to produce a food, sleep and stress diary for a few days to see where we can make some adjustments.

 

  • Nutritional guidance and weekly recipe suggestion for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided.

 

  • Initial comprehensive 45-minute consultation to discuss, goals, nutrition, food diary, lifestyle. Here we will set your macros and calorie intake using the Myfitnesspal App. Discuss your food, sleep and stress diary and together come up with a plan to make some small changes to your nutrition, sleep routine, and introduce stress management tools. It’s not about changing everything at once, small steps lead to leap that is sustainable when taken slowly. We will talk through any barriers identified to achieving your goal and how together we can remove these barriers or work around them.

 

  • X3 30-minute classes, per week LIVE or at your own convenience. We recommend committing to live classes to keep you accountable through your journey.

 

  • Interval training – a body weight class to improve your cardiovascular health, helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases, build lean skeletal muscle, improving your metabolic process. It will increase production of the human growth hormone, increasing protein production, enabling muscles to recover and repair faster, promotes the utilisation of fat. In small explosive burst we use more oxygen than in sustained cardio exercise, therefore burning more calories and burning more fat.

 

  • Strength – a resistance band workout to build lean skeletal muscle, improve bone density, lower insulin resistance, improve your mobility, improve metabolic function, and help prevent secondary diseases like prediabetes and diabetes help to prevent prediabetes and diabetes. The more muscle you have within the body the larger storage unit you have for your glucose, preventing the glucose being stored as fat, especially around the abdominal area.

 

  • Flexibility – improves your range of motion, improving mobility, lengthening tight muscles, and indicating muscular imbalances, which may be causing pain through the body. Balances and strength poses, to strengthen and stabilise deep muscle fibres and improve your stability.

 

  • Weekly 15-minute check-ins- to answer any questions, keep you motivated and accountable and ensure you are staying on track to achieve your goal. Every week you will send me your measurements so we can ensure you are moving towards your goal.
